The Document Specialist role is intended to provide an entry-level candidate (1-2 yrs) with the unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will report to the lead medical writer and work with the team's clinical pharmacologists and pharmacometricians. The position will include quality checking data; formatting on-brand; publishing to make documents submission-ready;and editing highly complex reports and modules. The goal of the Document Specialist is to communicate effectively with our CQP scientists to improve the quality and clarity of text. The candidate should walk in the door understanding that pharma culture is a highly regulated industry where hard work reaps great reward.
Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
MS Word. As a Document Specialist, you will be using MS Word every day. The role requires the ability to navigate and use advanced toolbar features, but to be open to learn new tools and add-ons that are essential to the role.
VeevaVault. The Document Specialist will be introduced to this EDMS as a new system. It is an essential regulatory tool that is the lifeline to our work. Workflows and processes will be introduced with the expectation of following all processes.
Cross-functional training will be implemented as the Document Specialist meets essential milestones and develops an understanding of brands.
The candidate must be a clear, confident, and effective communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The individual must be motivated with a keen attention to detail, highly organized, and have the ability to multitask and ask questions.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, Biology, Public Health, Communications, or related discipline.
Experience with MS Word is critical. Knowledge of AMA style is advantageous. Adobe experience is bonus.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills
Fierce attention to detail, independent-thinker, dynamic, and highly organized.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple documents.
