Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Network DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies and a solid understanding of DevOps principles. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure while also contributing to our DevOps practices to improve automation, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
- Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable DevOps solutions.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for network configuration changes and application deployments.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry regulations in network design and implementation.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a DevOps environment.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
- Experience with network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools (e.G., Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.G., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) technologies.
