Network Analysts provide a for-fee service to customers requiring regular, in-depth investigations regarding the overall performance of their network(s) These individuals provide a service that is distinct from the Network Operations teams directly involved in the day-to-day support of these networks; yet the information derived from the Network Analyst' s work is intrinsic to the continuous improvements of the infrastructure support by the NOCs, A Network Analyst II position is involved with customers whose networks are fundamentally more complex than those supported by an NA I, and their analysis typically requires more technical knowledge and effort. These resources construct reports that are delivered to the customers service and IT executives which may typically involve collaborations with other Verizon resources such as Network Engineering and other vendors (e.g. Cisco, Riverbed, Computer Associates, and SevOne). These individuals work through large data stores, frequently customizing that data in multiple groupings involving complex VRF structures or customized date and time classifications that go beyond standard product generated reports. These resources frequently support customers requiring more complex WAN, LAN, and WAAS analysis.
At minimum a technical professional knowledge is required to perform this job.
The employee needs to have a detailed understanding of network technologies, along with a strong knowledge of data warehousing, analysis, and report construction and presentation.
The employee also needs to be able to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in a professional manner during report presentations or for any customer inquiry demanding the NA' s services or insight.
The employee will be expected to interact with peer, direct and upper management, account teams, customers and vendors.
The employee will follow the processes developed and vetted in-house while adhering to corporate guidelines
