Job Description


The Oracle Business Analyst will work across our business units including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, serialization and finance to analyze, design, develop and implement IT solutions for our information technology projects and enhancements in our ORACLE R12 ERP systems. Gather and analyze user needs and requirements, prepare functional and design documents and implement the required changes related to the Oracle ERP systems. Member of the team performing analysis, design, development and implementation of the DSCSA compliant serialization and track/trace systems and the related functionality in the ERP and inventory management systems required as by the FDA.



This individual will have a focus on Oracle Manufacturing and Supply Chain, with detailed knowledge of process manufacturing, process manufacturing quality, Manufacturing Execution System, Oracle Warehouse Management System, Enterprise Asset Manufacturing and Oracle Pedigree and Serialization. The current environment includes the following Oracle E-Business Suite R12.3. Current process supported are Record-To, Report, Procure-To-Pay, Order-To-Cash, Plan-To-Manufacture, Hire-To-Retire, Project Costing, Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) and Oracle Pedigree and Serialization Manager (OPSM)



Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for end-users and gather user requirements.
  • Analyze, design and develop functional specifications for system configuration upgrades and modifications.
  • Design and develop and execute IT project plans.

Strong working knowledge on RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows)
  • Strong familiarity with Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) and/or Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) and the associated documentations practices
  • Ability to debug the system for certain behavior of the feature(s) and explain it to the Users Perform fit/gap analysis to evaluate each functional area in a business process to achieve specific goal(s).
  • Provide requirements to third party applications that interface with Oracle eBS
  • Perform system configurations, write up functional specifications for reports/alerts/customizations (including working with users on requirements) and create high-level technical design documents, generate test scripts, perform Quality assurance tests (prior to user testing), and produce training materials.
  • Configure the system including designing, building and testing new configuration objects.
  • Draft and execute IT system validation protocols.
  • Draft, update, and review SOPS and other GxP documents.
  • Make extensive use of Oracle EBS, SQL Developer, Application Object Library Client/FND, SQL*Loader, TOAD, OBIEE, Oracle Forms & Reports, SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, SharePoint, MS Project



Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.

2-5 years' experience as an Oracle Software Developer/functional analyst in the areas of requirements gathering, application design, functional gap analysis, development & user training of ORACLE ERP software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships and influence key stakeholders.

Work well under pressure with initiative to solve issues

Problem solving and organizational skills

Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
