Duties:

Experience in planning or related field. Experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry or related industry/cGMP environment. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. Experience as a lead with supervisory experience. Strong MSO/ERP skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.

This position is a key role supporting manufacturing execution and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and aptitude to manage the technical side of planning and the cross-functional leadership skills to successfully collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance. The person in this position is expected to coordinate product packaging activities through the value stream driving performance of schedule adherence, coordinating timely new product launches, planning to maximize absorption, ensure effective inventory management and effectively communicate changes as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support cross-functional teams for new product launches by managing completion of supply chain activities that must occur to ensure initial builds of inventory for launch and sustaining availability.
  • Create, maintain and execute detailed production plans to meet customer requirements. Communicate deliverable requirements, escalate issues through the Finished Product Value Stream.
  • Work with procurement and other departments to implement strategies to optimize safety stock and minimize inventory obsolescence.
  • Implement allocation strategies for products in short supply.
  • Participate in Engineering Labeling Change Order review meetings, approval and implementation of material phase-in and phase-out.
  • Develop, troubleshoot and implement labeling component changes as required.
  • Ensure data integrity of master data elements which drive production and MRP (safety stock, cycle times, BOM accuracy, effective dates).
  • Manage timely execution of MRP actions to ensure uninterrupted supply to customer.
  • Support troubleshooting transactional records to resolve inventory discrepancies and manufacturing variances as necessary.
  • Maintain methodology and tools for ongoing performance analysis.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs), perform root cause analysis, implement action plans, and strive for continuous improvement. (plan vs actual, internal demand, process flow, expiry, shortages, etc.)
  • Provide planning system knowledge support to site and affiliates as necessary.
  • Create Ad hoc reports/analysis as necessary.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with the procurement department for materials used to support the Label and Pack Operations.
  • Provide procurement back up support for materials required to support the label and pack operations as required.
  • Resolve quality events in a timely manner with cross functional teams.
  • Maintain or implement standard operation procedures as required.
  • Manage site and or multi-site projects as required.
  • Problem solve MRP (SAP) issue that may impact supply to customers.

Skills:
  • Basic knowledge with MRP, DRP and MPS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experience with MS Office, emphasis on Excel and MS project.
  • Experience running multi-site projects.
  • Experience launching new products and labeling component changes.
  • Minimum 3 year of experience leading cross-functional team to deliver significant results while reporting progress to senior leaders.
  • Solid inventory management skills with an emphasis on risk reduction.

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED. BA or BS preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and/or scheduling in a CGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience purchasing / sourcing raw materials for production in a CGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management and forecasting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using MRP/ERP system. SAP preferred.
  • Project Management
  • Minimum 3 year of experience leading cross-functional team to deliver significant results while reporting progress to senior leaders.
