Job Description


Basic Functions:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day functional activities involving the review, evaluation and execution of customer-level product and pricing decisions, the on-going monitoring for appropriateness of current customers' products and prices, and the interaction between
Commercial and other functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain and Legal for specific processes.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Work closely with the Senior Director of Product Management and the Sales team to implement customer-level product and pricing decisions.
Own the cross-functional process and workflow of customer-level product and price decisions to ensure deadlines are met and that all applicable departments are aware of any changes that have been implemented.
Conduct accurate, thorough and timely analysis of customer-level product and price opportunities and challenges so that the data necessary to make an informed decision is available for use.
Monitor the active products and prices for all customers on a timely basis and put forward recommendations for contract price adjustments where warranted.
Participate in the Price/Volume analysis process run by Commercial and Finance to ensure the accuracy of the data and the applicable rationale.
Participate in the Demand Planning process run by Commercial and Supply Chain to ensure the accuracy of the data and the applicable rationale.
Manage all aspects of the Contract Management process, including the storage of customer-level terms and conditions, product awards and applicable pricing, and that all applicable departments are aware of any changes that have been implemented.
Special projects as needed.

Excellent organizational skills to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
Excellent understanding of pricing dynamics and structures (i.E.: discounts, rebates, and fees) in the generics pharmaceutical market, and a strong understanding of product pricing P&L and customer-level T&Cs.

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS in Business, Marketing or Science
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the U.S. Pharmaceutical industry in a pricing, analytics, finance, or sales/marketing capacity


High proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Oracle, BI and other relevant software programs and databases
