Job Description

This position, with minimal guidance and oversight, will act as company representative and lead critical projects from inception through turnover. 

The Project Engineer scope includes:
  • Working with stakeholders to develop project specifications and requirements for the project.
  • Development and execution of a project budget
  • Development of project budget and timelines to ensure company objectives can successfully be met.
  • Execution of the project budget and timelines ensuring adherence to established commitments. 
  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external resources required to successfully execute the project plan. 
  • Develop and maintain key metrics for progress tracking and risk management identification.    
  • Facilitate project team and stake holder communications ensuring engagement, accountability, and ownership
  • Provide technical engineering oversight and support during the entire scope of projects ensuring successful outcome and system performance.
    • Mechanical (HVAC)
    • Utility Installation (Electrical, water, sprinkler, security, controls)
    • Validation (IOQ & PQ)

Education Required:

Bachelor’ s degree in related field of Engineering

Education Preferred

Master’ s Degree in related discipline

Experience Required:

5+ years of relevant work experience

Proven experience in medium to large projects of varying complexity. 

Experience Preferred:

5+ years of relevant work experience

Direct experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA).   

Walk-in Stability Chamber and HVAC

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:

PMP Certification

Functional Knowledge:


Mechanical (Plumbing / Duct)


Fire Protection

Project Management / Stakeholder Management

Company/Industry Related Knowledge:


Validation / Mapping

Exhibit strong work ethic and self-motivation

The candidate shall possess a strong work ethic requiring minimal oversight while ensuring the highest quality of service and output. 

Ability to design and troubleshoot complex systems. 

Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic systems.
  • The ability to read and understand complex electrical, pneumatic, and process diagrams.

Working knowledge of Commissioning and Qualification

The ability to draft, review, approve, execute, and train individuals on commissioning and qualification activities is desired. 

Working understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical field.

Job Requirements

This role is less specific than the other, could work on a range of projects. Smaller in scale - could include packaging, manufacturing, facilities, etc. 3-5 yrs exp 45-55ish/hr
