SUMMARY
This position is responsible for testing production batches and incoming raw materials according to specific written test methods and identifying issues of both in-spec and out-of-spec data. The technician will interpret results to ensure the product meets the defined specifications. The technician will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab, general housekeeping, ensuring a safe work environment and will independently perform tasks as outlined by her/her supervisor/manager.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•Position requires a HS diploma or GED. A BS in Chemistry or other science field
•Must be able to work independently and in a group
•Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
•Must have good math and computer skills.

SUMMARY

The technician will interpret results to ensure the product meets the defined specifications. The technician will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab, general housekeeping, ensuring a safe work environment and will independently perform tasks as outlined by her/her supervisor/manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned
- •Ensures that all required tests are accurately completed in a timely manner and that the test results meet defined specifications
- •Must be competent in the execution of defined test methods and exercise good judgment in all area’s of his/her activities.
- •Follows appropriate raw material test methods
- •Gather, stock and manage product retain area
- •Places non-conforming material on hold as needed and communicate as necessary
- •Verify lab equipment performance against standards and report all deviations to supervisor
- •Supports the ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
- •May be required to work a different shift to cover for vacations, overtime, call-ins, etc.
- •Maintains Lab housekeeping and cleans all test equipment
- •Perform other tasks as decided by Quality Laboratory Manager
