Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
Under appropriate supervision, the contractor will work in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Conduct routine mammalian cell culture procedures, including maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation using aseptic technique.
- Perform routine laboratory activities including reagent preparation, equipment upkeep, inventory management, and general lab organization.
- Collaborate with team members to support large scale cell preparation for high throughput screening initiatives.
- Perform DMPK/ADME assays, including cell based permeability, protein binding, and drug transporter assays;independently conduct LC MS/MS analyses.
- Analyze, document, and summarize experimental data;prepare reports or data summaries as required.
- Troubleshoot routine assay, cell culture, and instrumentation issues and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous documentation in accordance with internal procedures and data integrity expectations.
- Follow laboratory safety, chemical hygiene, and waste management procedures at all times.
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 4+ years of experience, or M.S. With 2+ years of experience (industry experience preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic cell culture techniques strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage assigned tasks while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
- Experience with high throughput screening and LC MS/MS strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with electronic lab notebooks is a plus.
