Job Description

The applicant will play a critical role within the Antibody Discovery group by performing essential functions to support the early-phase screening of antibody candidates. Responsibilities include protein QC using analytical methods, maintaining mammalian cell lines relevant to cell-binding assays, preparing normalized antibody stocks, and stamping these into assay plates using high-throughput liquid handling systems. Additionally, they will register these stocks in compound management system for biologics. The applicant is expected to maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebook records of ongoing activities and thrive in a highly collaborative environment, supporting multiple ongoing discovery efforts.

Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
  • Performing routine protein QC tasks
  • Utilize high-throughput liquid handling systems to generate normalized plates of antibody stocks for use in early screening efforts.
  • Manage and maintain the antibody compound registry.
  • Support internal and external antibody discovery campaigns by maintaining cell cultures necessary for antibody screening.

Minimum Requirements
  • BS with 2 5 years of prior experience or MS with 1-4 years of prior experience.
  • Strong background in protein biochemistry and cell biology.
  • Experience using analytical lab equipment such as HPLC, cIEF and CE-SDS.
  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and cell line propagation.
  • Working knowledge of automation lab equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
